All Hallows Eve
Once All Hallows Eve so scary
Hungry werewolf lurching hairy
With his sharpened claws came scratching
Firey eyed by my front door
Being the official greeter
I was sure a trick-or-treater
Wanted candy from the handy
Cut out pumpkin on the floor
But a vision only fleeting
Was not tricking, was not treating
But rose up and floated toward me
As I stood amid its roar
Now the passing of each season
Terrifys me, and with reason
By the ghastly ghost afloating…forever more

The last line was a little weak, but it was a fun read.
You must a be brave lady not to run when you opened the door. your photo is a really scarey one.

OMG, Ann, you have become Poe reincarnated. That's one scary werewolf creature. Keep your front door locked and double bolted. If he/it were to trick you, m'dear, you would be the treat!
