A Dignified Fish - A Poem
60A Dignified Fish
Temptation
Fish in the ocean a swimmin'
Swimmin' a current strong
Along come the devil a fishin'
Fishin' and hummin' a song
With bait so sweet and tempting
And a cunning zestful eye
He spots a luscious silver fin
Of a dignified fish near by
He baited his hook, still hummin'
Threw out his line with a spin
For you my sweet, a bauble
Bite it and I'll pull you in
But the fish jumped up with a pouty mouth
And a stunning show of pride
Swam the currents with exquisite grace
And flaunted herself on the tide
The fisherman drooled, sweet baby! You're mine
I love you! Hook line and fin
So she nibbled and nibbled and finally bit
And the fisherman reeled her in

Great fish poem that's struck me as funny. vote up, Joyce
This is a classic story of temptation. It's that nibbling that does him in. Great job!
Voted up and awesome. Creativity shining through Ann. Love it!
This is a nicely spun allegory. Cute too

Very cute! This feels like it could be a song to me!! Set it to music and write a children's story with it!
beautiful hub anndavis, thanks for sharing and voted up.
I did not find this funny. It is sad. Feeble is always gulped by powerful. This is also the case with humans.
Love it....
